Handbag of the Week: Miu Miu

Cut out leather bowler, 990 euros (£780 approx) by Miu Miu from Mytheresa.com

Hi sports fans. So, who'd have thought that fashion's first lady could find the time to go to the gym in between her busy schedule of designing four Ready-to-Wear collections a year and a Cruise range each for her sister labels? Surely that's the only explanation for Miuccia Prada's heavily sport influenced Autumn Winter collection for Miu Miu. One piece cycle-inspired outfits showed intricate laser cut peep holes to reveal a second skin of orange or green Lycra underneath; it's undeniable, cycling shorts and streamlined head gear have never looked so fashionable.

The accessories line didn't miss out on the sporty make-over either. This bowling bag features the cut out design that is evident in the clothing and is the easiest way to buy into Miuccia's vision, and far more flattering than those cycling shorts.

Handbag of the Week: Mulberry

Small Mabel, £395 from Mulberry

Joyeux Mulberry. The current collection, which is in store and ready for you to drawl over as we speak, was so stellar we can't even contain ourselves. Fraggle fur (Mulberry's own nick name for their Mongolian lamb's wool accessories that have an uncanny similarity to the Fraggles of Fraggle Rock... don't remember them? Check them out here) and heart shaped
Mulberry a/w08
Lolita sunglasses gave the already playful collection an adorable edge that made us scream ‘I want it, I want it' about EVERYTHING. Especially the bags.

Oh the bags. Orange, purple, and snakeskin blue - Mulberry didn't take the boring and obvious autumnal route of a neutral/black palette. Oh no. This Orange mini Mabel is the antidote to grey days and the perfect companion to a cute outfit as you can see illustrated perfectly to your left!

Handbag of the Week: Cacharel

Wool knit bag, £349 by Cacherel from Farfetch.com

Fancy scouring the best boutiques in Paris, London and Milan without even needing your passport? Farfetch.com is the answer. This new shopping website allows you to shop the best European designer boutiques that stock high-end designers such as Alexander McQueen and Balenciaga alongside more cult labels such as Bruuns Bazaar and Ksubi.
Cacharel, the French label designed by Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto, the duo behind Eley Kishimoto, is currently stocked on Farfetch. This snuggly knit bag is part of Cacharel's autumn winter collection which was presented on animal masked mannequins as opposed to models... which has no relevance to this week's handbag but they looked pretty neat!
